Quite an interesting article by AndrewJefford in Decanter on Rossese from Liguria:

Somehow. though, he’s probably flailing at windmills if he thinks the Burg lovers are going to migrate to Ligurian Rossese, a wine that’s even rarer than GC RedBurg.
You seldom see these wines around. I’ve only had two (both at Pizzeria Diavola) and was pretty impressed by them. Very perfumed reds with soaring aromatics, not too unlike a good DryCreekVlly Zin, but w/o the heft or alcohol.

I actually love rossese. My favorite producer is Tenuta Selvadolce and I love its Rosso Se. Not every producer has the earthy and elegant style, but they certainly do.

Punta Crena’s is pretty, nice, drinks well young, and is available to most any retailer or restaurant with access to the Kermit Lnych portfolio.
