Dirty Drops 3/27

#1 Post by C Janko » March 24th, 2015, 7:57 am

Not sure if I'm excited or scared! My favorite juice right now so no chance I don't take my whole allocation and then some, but gosh my wife hasn't stopped looking at me crossed eyed about wine purchase recently!

Told her when the baby comes in a few weeks I'll "slow down"!

I was just about to buy my Myriad when I saw this email. It is one or the other for me, CC can't take the heat this month with Monte Bello futures auto-loaded.

Patrick- the odds are greatest for those on the waiting list if they put in an early wish list request. I'm going to start filling those 4/4 and hope to finish by 4/7.

Looking forward to it.... I haven't tried any of these wines yet so this will be my first time. I do have a bottle of the 2012 C&E Sem that I bought from a berserker but I'm waiting for summer (perhaps Easter Sunday) to try that out.

Hmm...don't have the wines from the January release yet, and now there's another release. Wind Gap did the same thing with two rapid fire releases.

With 3 releases a year, we have our Winter and Spring releases very close. It is challenging. We hold the Winter until is warm enough to ship, and must get the Spring out before it is too hot to ship. Usually, that ends up in the overlap (Spring being released before Winter arrives). A large % of our customers opt to combine the Winter and Spring releases into one shipment.

3 releases is not fun. Due to the amount of different wines we produce and the excitement of small winery cash flow, it is our best option for the time being. If we can get to two releases, I'm going on a much needed vacation ;)

If anyone has any questions- do not hesitate to email me at hardy at dirtyandrowdy dot com also, my cell# is the number on the website.

Thanks for the support!

Once again, this board has proven to be potentially dangerous to my wallet.

After reading this thread, I:
1) Signed up for their waitlist
2) Emailed Hardy to see how the waitlist is looking and general questions about the wine and winery
3) Will be buying off of my friend's allocation this Friday (hopefully) in addition to adding stuff to the wishlist since I'm on the waitlist.

Very excited about the new vintage of the Semillion! This is one of the most versatile white wines out there (at least for my palate). And just love the Familiar as a weeknight wine...we drank pretty the entire allocation of a local restaurant. Wish listed the two that I wasn't allocated. Fingers crossed.

I left some on the table. Had to limit myself to one case. Took all 6 of the Semillon and couple bottles of each of the Mouverdres. Hope all of you first time wish listers get some of this good stuff. I'm pretty sure it will have been worth the wait.

I also missed out on the large tee shirt allocation; sold out.

I'm a first-timer with them so nothing allocated. I wished for 3 bottles of the Familiar. I've run out of cellar space and have a bunch more stuff coming in. But, heard such great things about these that I had to at least try for some. Hopefully I'm be offered a bottle or two.

Whew, I almost missed this as Gmail shunted the notification to "promotions"! Thanks to WB I caught it.

ordered up 2/2 of my 4/4 allocation so I hope some wishlisters get a chance at some D&R. Definitely would have taken more, but if I don't cut back, the wife is going to kill me for sure.

Really looking forward to the wines and the T-shirt! Thanks D&R team!

Thanks Alicia! We are happy to finally get you some wine!

For those waiting- I have about 175 requests left to process. I hope to be done by Tues. All Semillon and Familiar requests will be granted. We have some left over that are now available for general purchase on the website.

A decent % (but not all) of requests for Santa Barbara Highlands Mourvedre will be filled, unfortunately a lot less for the "Especial" :(

Thanks to everyone for making this a great and exciting release!

Patrick,
All purchasing customers are considered active mailing list members for the next release. Allocations are given to active mailing list members based primarily on the time someone has been active.

We try our best to get the wines to as many people as possible. Unfortunately, some of the cuvees are tiny- 40-70 cases, and are unable to make it to the whole list.

Feel free to zap me an email or call if you have any questions.

Thank you!
Hardy
