Nice!

Has anyone opened an ‘11 Saitone lately? I want to do my last one justice.
Sorry for the late reply. Within a week or so we opened the 2011 Heritage, Dolinsek and Saitone. IMHO, drink up the Dolinsek soon and enjoy the other two now or over the next couple of years.

2013 Dolinsek - Seemed a bit out of balance to my palate, with strong peppery notes on the front end and a gush of acidity taking over on the back end. Not really in my wheelhouse, either alone or with food. Followed over almost 5 hours; it held up just fine but didn’t improve.

No spritz.
I've had quite a few of the 2011 Saitone over the past 8+ years, never any spritz...and now that I'm thinking about it, only spritzy Bedrock I've ever encountered was the 2009 RRV Zin.

If they are like earlier released cabs, you’re going to want to give them time.

Purchased the Monte Rosso and the Sonoma Cabs as well. Definitely going to sit on the Monte Rosso but will probably have to pop one Sonoma and let the other one sleep.

Opened the 2016 Evangelo tonight. Hoping for the best.

I am also looking at opening my last bottle of 2010 Papas all blacks relatively soon. Meaning weeks/months, probably this year. Any thoughts on this one?

Glenn Levine reported on one last year and said he'd open his next one in ten years. I'm planning on holding the rest of mine for the long-haul....but looking forward to hearing your thoughts if you open it!

Cracked open a Shebang! 12th. Hints at Bedrock pedigree. Similar to OVZ but in a lighter, thinner and somewhat disjointed way. Wife saw the label and thought it was connected to Ricky Martin...

Talk to me
Tell me your name
You blow me off like it's all the same
You lit a fuse and now I'm ticking away
Like a bomb
Yeah, baby
Talk to me
Tell me your sign
You're switching sides like a gemini
You're playing games and now you're hittin' my heart
Like a drum
Yeah, baby
Well if lady luck gets on my side
We're gonna rock this town alive
I'll let her rough me up
'Till she knocks me out
She walks like she talks
And she talks like she walks
And she bangs, she bangs
Oh baby
When she moves, she moves
I go crazy
'Cause she looks like a flower but she stings like a bee
Like every girl in history
She bangs, she bangs
I'm wasted by the way she moves
No one ever looked so fine
She reminds me that a woman only got one thing on her mind
Talk to me
Tell me your name
I'm just a link…

Morgan was pouring this at pick-up today and it was Dava’s favorite so I purchased a few more and popped one tonight. More Zinfandel than previous vintages. Great site expression. Young though.

Drank the 2018 Bedrock Riesling Wirz tonight. Just like I like them - slightly later pick, dry as bones Riesling. Green apples and petrol of course, but there was just a little more depth there, probably from the later pick. Excellent stuff.

Thought I had almost no Bedrock left, but found a case that included 6 cabs from 2009 and 2010 and the 2009 Zin "O Brother".
Score! Let us know about that 'O Brother' zin!
Happy to wait if you have plans to visit.

I had a ‘14 Nervo over the last two nights. Can’t say it was my favorite. Very rustic. Seemed much older than 5-6 years.

The 13 Nervo is the only Bedrock wine i have not cared for. Zero nose, plenty of acidity, but no fruit and a bitter finish. Hopefully time will help but I'm not holding my breath. A rare miss.

I stopped buying the Nervo. Not the end of the world. Morgan makes too many others that are excellent.

2016 Old Vine Zin. Drink up!
Drink up as it won’t last much longer?
Drink up as it’s drinking very well now. I will drink all of my 2016 Old Vines over the next year.
Respectfully, disagreed - had my last 2009 OV Zin in 2018 and it was rocking. I can't imagine the more modern iterations aging any less wonderfully and lord knows the vast majority of Morgan's wines only improve with aging, at least in my experience.
