2009 Domaine du Vissoux / Pierre-Marie Chermette Brouilly Pierreux - France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Brouilly (10/19/2014)
With all the effusive praise for this vintage, I honestly can’t say that I’ve been wowed. Subdued notes of blackberries, plum skin, cocoa powder, dried herbs, and crushed minerals. A touch of aspirin on the finish. A bit flabby but not as flabby as the previous bottle. This is a wine that drinks better with food than by itself. (85 pts.)
