TN: 2007 Peay Vineyards Roussanne/Marsanne Estate

2007 Peay Vineyards Roussanne/Marsanne Estate - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (7/28/2014)
Showing a little more color, and signs of adolescence now, almost 6 years in the bottle. Still quite youthful and fresh, with elegant flavors and depth, subtle nuttiness, hints of peach pit and almonds; good, though perhaps not abundant acidity, but nice overall balance. Beautifully delicious. Would not be able to pick this out from a Hermitage Blanc lineup. (92 pts.)

Alan;

Do you have any info on when they’ll release another R/M? I’ve had some 09s (still have a couple in the cellar), but would really like more to put down.

I know it didn’t get ripe in 2011, pretty sure the same in 2010, but was made in 2012. So probably the next mailer.

Thanks. I really like Peay’s stuff.

I thought Nick told me that the vines were grafted to another variety that would ripen more reliably? I had bought every vintage of the Roussanne and am still holding most of my bottles.
