My only two purchases were this and the Sleight of Hand cab. And I’m not mad. Two great cabs from top producers under $40.

I’m trying to dial back on Pinot a bit, otherwise I definitely would have pounced on the 2018 Sojourn Gap’s Crown for $45.

I took the cabs as well as I had over $150 credit from wines Lastbottle could not fulfill from late spring-summer purchases.

Kept myself to two bottles this marathon - the Debate Dr. Crane and the Cadence Camerata. I was surprised to see the GKG discounted down to $50, since the same bottle was $80 from them back in February.

It sounds like they processed 72k orders over two days - about 25 per minute. I can't imagine what their warehouse is going to look like while they get these orders ready for shipping.

I got an even 6 bottles of random stuff. Rotie Cellars was the most expensive, Northern Rhone inspired Washington Syrah sounded cool. Love Northern Rhone. The Alsace Sparkler had the right descriptors for me said it was creamy. My sparkling always gets drunk sooner.

Just daily drinkers this time spring. Keeping my powder dry for Berserker Day, which is the real marathon that’s actually worth your time.

Very nice, I got some at the last marathon, you won't regret it.
Glad to hear that! I picked up a trio of those as well. Thing that confused me is that I couldn't find it on CT, making me wonder if it was a "special" bottling.

I grabbed 4 of the Beau Vigne Romeo today. Been wanting to try this winery as I’m a big fan of Kirk Venge.

Gerard Raphet Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru 2018 up for $175 a bottle. I grabbed one as I've never had a Grand Cru Burg before; any thoughts on this deal? Considering grabbing one more.

I see that a '99 is available from at least one merchant for $199, and I don't think I can wait 20 years to let the '18 develop to potential.
Now if I were 20 years younger, and had cash stuffed in a drawer.....

I'm not a big fan of deeply aged wines. I plan to drink this in late 2021-2022.

I grabbed one for several reasons: It's probably ripe with higher alcohol making for a nice cold winter night drink. I haven't seen anything lately that I've wanted from Last Bottle. I haven't had a Grand Cru in awhile. Free shipping on one. I had a Last Bottle credit. Next best price was like $204 in USA. A chance to try the 2018 vintage in Burgundy at a high level. Honestly I liked Jeb's description.

Concerns: It's Cuvee Unique, handpicked barrels by US importer. So maybe more oak. Only one rating (You gotta trust Jeb). Yes why not obtain an older bottle and see how Raphet does. Prices aren't that much more. Could still be around tonight despite Last Bottle's claim that it will be "gone fast".

Conclusion: If money is no object go for it! If money is an object (as it is for me) take your chances that it will deliver a great "beyond expectations" drinking experience! Last Bottle has been rock solid standing behind their wines for me.

Yeh Mike I will drink it this winter in February. I'll post a note. At my store in Syracuse there's a bunch of over-priced Grand Crus that are all rated 92-95. Save the small selection of DRC at inflated prices. So this wine and it's description/rating fits a nice mid winter intellectual tasting. I think it will taste well...

Where has this site been all my life? Only been checking it out a couple days and already ordered some high quality cabs at amazing prices.

I thought it was going to be cheap or junk juice but wow this is awesome!

Yves Cheron Cotes du Rhone Les Dentelles 2015
Although I purchased a bottle from Garagiste rather than LBW, the 2015 Yves Cheron 'Les Dentelles' [Cotes du Rhone] is pretty good! It's a multi village grenache blend with 1/3 syrah that is raised in concrete. It has a savory, violet note with good acidity. Still purplish and and has not shed its grapey primary fruit yet, but a likable Rhone blend. 13.5% abv, and it feels a touch lighter than its body suggests. K&L also DI'd this for a while (I think) and I've liked their Cotes du Rhones sensibility. Consumed over a few days, best on day #2. A little ferrous note here too. A B+ in my ledger, and if I saw it again, I'd buy in good vintages.

Has anyone gotten their December marathon orders yet? The last marathon shipped very quickly for me, so I'm wondering there's an extra delay now.

I have not and have been so conditioned by long delays that my expectation was March or April.

I don't get Marathon Orders till a couple weeks before the new marathon if that gives you a timeframe. It has been like this for both the 2020 April & August one so I am expecting the same for December.

I received my shipment late last week. Delivered to my office in Atlanta. My guess would be that you will see a delivery pretty soon.

My Cadence was canceled without explanation. And refunded. Very odd, tho I am fine redirecting the $$$ to Berserker Day.

I ordered two different Cadence bottles, including the Camerata. I haven’t had any word about them, but will be unhappy if they are cancelled. I’m looking forward to them the most, of the 8 different wines I ordered.

It was weird. I mostly skipped the marathon and only bought two bottles.

I think the timing of the refund so close to Berserker Day is why I’m not more annoyed.

Just bit on the Pontet-Canet. Strong pricing, so hard to say no to that one.

Same. Couldn’t believe my eyes. Snagged three and told myself it had to be done.

Literally available for $139 at this exact moment through Vinfolio. Found via wine searcher.

By the time you factor in their tax and shipping even if they had it Last Bottle still seems to be literally the lowest price. Well, it was, as they are sold out too.

Mini BV Georges de Latour vertical 2015-2017 available.

Used to buy these back in the day when they were way cheaper and enjoyed them but the prices shot up and so have the ratings.

Bought one set as what the hell, why not?

I need to stop checking that site before I run out of money.

for fans of Nebbiolo, the bottle up now was a nobrainer for me. Bought the 2013 from them a year or so back and I thought it was very good for the price. It was $27.30 last time after taxes and insurance, so it is slightly more this time though.

Has anyone tried the Cortello Cabernet Sauvignon Stags Leap District 2018? Doesn't seem terrible for a SLD cab at $36.

Can't speak for 2018, but previous vintages have been solid. I came close to buying a 6er but remembered other purchases I made today.

This producer quite often shows up on marathons.

Based on the few clues they give, it might be Barnett Spring Mountain District C.S.

If this is the case, I'd suggest reading the CT tasting notes before buying....
