Good for Brian. He really is a stand up guy. Reminds me of the guys my dad used to hang around with - you knew you could just count on them to take care of things. Award or not, I'm glad to know him.
Interestingly, Greg, when Brian was starting up the first auction for the Santa Rosa fire I told my sister, who was wanting to bid in it, that Brian was the kind of guy our dad would've liked. Definitely practical, imaginative, and gets things done effectively.

When I suggested in the Santa Rosa auction thread you were so good at it you should do more I certainly didn't imagine it would be so soon for an even bigger fire down in my home area of Ventura County.

Good on you, Brian, and good on WB mgmnt for recognising you. Badge, smadge. [welldone.gif]

I’ll add a vote for FMIII. Between Falltacular and the Annual Virtual Tasting thread he raises ridiculous amounts of money for a great cause and in-between all he does is write awesome notes and promote duscussion about wines while never wasting a minute straying to the more racy threads. A truly selfless guy who is a great example of community leadership. He could win every year.

That’s ridiculous. I’d put that sh*t in my marketing bio and have a full blown press release. Perhaps press conference followed by a Cab Franc wine tasting. Three people with similar Yak palates, and Corey for the free wine, would attend.

FMIII will most likely ask me to remove it, he's that type of guy (and Brian asked, too - I refused)
That’s ridiculous. I’d put that sh*t in my marketing bio and have a full blown press release. Perhaps press conference followed by a Cab Franc wine tasting. Three people with similar Yak palates, and Corey for the free wine, would attend.

Glad to hear Frank received this honor. Well deserved. I went back through his charity thread from last year, and smiled looking at the pictures that he encouraged people to post.

I’m starting my campaign come January 1, 2019.

He really deserves his own thread.

As I predicted, we have a humble recipient who flat out refuses to have the avatar honoring him.

Perhaps this award should just fold forever, as both recipients - in the most BOTY-way possible - gave me crap for receiving the award. We'll have to continue to honor them PRIVATELY and respect their incredible gifts, but not with a visible honor of any sort, as it's not worth arguing with them over it :)

Am I too late to vote for Frank? But can I vote for the old Frank, who liked Paso GSM wines, instead of the new Frank, who likes Pinot?
