Light ruby with great clarity and reflective quality. Graham crackers, pomegranate and sweet red fruits on the nose. Black licorice, herbs de Provence and drying tannins on the palate. Long finish that leaves a pleasantly bitter note on the front palate. I'd hold 2 years then drink for next 3 after ...

Medium ruby with a more opaque character than I expected. Nose of baking spice, red fruits, hint of menthol. Palate of blackberry jam, light tar, mocha. Finish is medium + in length and intensity. Hi Carole,
I just ordered both deals (Lagier Meredith and Chester's) in one order. I couldn't get the site to accept both codes, so my order doesn't reflect the adjusted price on Chester's. I went ahead and completed the order. Am betting you can set it right before my ccrd is billed? Thanks!!

I grew up in CC and visit family in FM a few times a year. Pickings are still fairly slim. But do visit Ft Myers Brewing or Old Soul for good craft beer. (Realize you didn't ask about beer, but I can't think of a lot of wine recommendations.). Old downtown Ft Myers has some fairly cool bars and rest...

FWIW, I've been told that if you must visit, you should definitely go to the original location down east of the city of Napa out toward (maybe past) Silverado Trail. Not the newer one up St Helena-ish (my geo might be a bit off). I've only been to the south one, so have no personal data to compare.

I have one that I use sporadically. Agree on finding right grind. And the stir part seems essential; otherwise too much water drips through prior to adequate extraction. I would say for travel, versus alternatives, this is a decent solution.

Opened a 2006 Sonoma Syrah. The cork has the name "Nom de Plume" with a corresponding website (not active now, I checked). Was this an early name Pax was considering when he bottled some wine but hadn't yet labeled it? Or what's up with this wacky cork?

I went for the $25+ option. For me it would be rare not to buy at least a bottle, if only as a courtesy. But in this scenario where the wines are good quality, I'd presume a higher posted fee would result in a smaller crowd of more serious wine folks. This would result in a better tasting room exper...
