I have an AOG Grill. Fire Magic's "second label." Absolutely no complaints. Gets extremely hot and costs far less than most of the prestige brands. I have the 36 with rotisserie and infrared burner.

John. Very few of the places you've mentioned do CA beef. Almost all Midwest. If it's Midwest flannery pricing is much much lower. He had 14oz rib eyes for $20. I really like his ca beef source. Shipping is almost inconsequential with flannery in ca. Order five steaks and your shipping is only $15 ...

Just checked again (since I don't trust my memory), and most VinoTemp units seem to get slammed in a lot of online reviews. Of course that is why I was asking here -- with users that I trust much more than an amazon.com review listing. But I'm wondering why they'd be panned across the board. I have...

Re: June wedding in Charleston, need recommendation for beach with kids

Hilton Head is a very developed, very commercial golf haven attached to a beach. It is perfect for golfers and people who are looking for that type of beach experience. It is the antithesis of what I look for in a beach. 100 years ago (the last time I went to a beach from Charleston) Pawley's was m...

I have been on the Carlisle mailing list as long as I can remember. I remember picking up my mailing list order at Mike Officer's house. Probably Copain would be second. I was on some lists before that but dropped off.

June wedding in Charleston, need recommendation for beach with kids

My wife and two kids (4 and 7) are heading to Charleston in June for a wedding. We thought it would be fun to fly in a week early and spend several days to a week at the beach as my kids have never really experienced warm water swimming. We usually go to Lake Tahoe every summer so this should be qui...

I generally avoid taking my kids to wineries when I can but sometimes I take them for pickups. Ton Kiang is great. Both the dim sum and Hakka cuisine. I used to live around the corner. You will need to take the 38 Geary bus - or a cab.

Prospect is very good. It's like Boulevard light.

RN74 is great for cocktails/wine. Have not eaten there yet so can't comment on food.
