2015 Jean Edwards Cellars Sauvignon Blanc Dalla Gasperina Vineyard - USA, California, Napa Valley, Rutherford (5/12/2017) This is a fantastic Napa Sauv Blanc. The nose comes across with some really nice lemon pith. None of that overblown grapefruit here, just layers of creamy lemon and honeysuckle,...

In Santa Ynez, SY Kitchen has great food but can get quite crowded and noisy. We actually ate there twice on our last trip it was that good and the 2nd night was not on the weekend and was much more relaxed.

We visited their tasting room in July '15 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Bought a couple of their chards, a syrah and a reserve PN, all of which were top notch Oregon.

Went to a tasting at one of our local wine stores today featuring six wines from Portugal. Some interesting blends of a number of grapes I haven't had before. The first two were whites that were quite nice, the Loureiro was citrus and minerals and the Espaco Rural Bojador Branco had more floral note...

Brian, thank you very much for bringing that over. I know that we didn't give it the proper treatment but when you're in a rental and the only thing close to a decanter is a beer pitcher, well you do what you can. Still, it was an interesting wine and paired quite well with those little steaks. [che...

What Bedrock wine are you drinking tonight?

Patrick these were PnP'd. Obviously very young and fruit forward, but still well balanced and easy to consume with no harsh notes. I'm still going to try to let what I have in the cellar rest for a couple years but if I happen to get an itch to open one early, I know I won't be disappointed.

Yesterday we had the recently released Ode to Lulu rose, 2015 Gibson Ranch Heritage, 2015 Bedrock Heritage and the 2015 Lorenzo's Heritage. Fred, agreed, the food was excellent, great group of people and of course everything you poured was top notch.
