Wish shipping it West didn't add so much to the price. Love Barou!
Re: Somm 3
Watched tonight after watching Somm 2 last night. I enjoyed both, probably more than the first one. I would definitely watch 90 minutes of Carole Meredith on wine; her 2011 Malbec made a great companion for these films. Hope she's prominent in the fourth.

They are, but they have a temporary log cabin set up as a tasting room. My understanding is Failla has taken over their old tasting room, but I didn't stop by.

Willamette Valley Trip Report (Long/Boring)
I just got back from four days in Willamette Valley. This time I was traveling with my childhood best friend, who is in the retail business in Alabama. As a result, we only visited places that are distributed in AL, which explains some of the odd choices. I didn’t take detailed notes, but here are s...

What Goodfellow/Matello are you drinking?
Thanks for the notes, Scott! I think the champagne was an NV Bereche. I too wasn't writing thoughts, but the 2005 Souris was, for me, in a class of its own. A complete wine. I thought it managed the warmth of the vintage a bit better than the Hommage. I enjoyed the 2008 Whistling Ridge a bit more th...

Opened a 2015 PCC WV Pinot last night. Yesterday it was okay, a bit thin, sour cherry and earth. One night on the counter transformed it into a raspberry inflected elegant pinot. The ripe vintages play so well into Marcus's style. Definitely going back for more.

For the Cayuse experts, what is the style of this wine? Would it appeal to a more old world, Euro palate or is it unabashedly new world? Never tried one. Enjoyed the passion in the OP. Robert, I've sold most of mine. I don't think you'd like it. A hallmark of this style of wine is super low acidity...

For folks who like this wine, Full Pull just offered a rocks syrah made by Morgan Lee of Two Vintners as part of their in-house winery program. It's actually a little pricier than what I paid for the Two Vintners version, but I asked for a bottle anyway.
