Riesling, which is a white grape. It ranges from bone dry to extremely sweet. The best examples are from Germany. Delicious, especially with some age.

PQM (Publican Quality Meats) on Fulton has very high quality meat and you will absolutely pay through the nose for it. You might also try Butcher & Larder, Paulina Meat Market, Gepperth's Meat Market and Gene's Sausage Shop & Delicatessen in Lincoln Square.

Paul/George, thanks for your responses. There are actually a couple reasonable deals on older Cab Franc. Musar is fairly priced (for a restaurant). But I was leaning toward what you suggested George (and what was also suggested by another friend)...Champagne and maybe a glass of red and call it a day.
