Not Yakima, but I was damn impressed by a 2007 Chateau Rollat "Edouard de Rollat" (Walla Walla) that I tried last year. Beautiful wine and definitely Bordeaux leaning, style-wise.

Thanks for the note. I loved the BerserkerDay packs of Ladd aged pinots the last couple of years. Those were various bottles of 2008 - 2010s, so they seem to age very well, too.

I recently ran across a tasting on on CT where the guy was blaming a bad tasting experience on it being a "root day". I googled it and apparently it is a "thing" where different days in a lunar cycle or some such nonsense affect one's enjoyment of drinking wine. Anyone here subscribe to this idea?

I often get some bitter components in Willamette Valley Pinot. Reminds me of orange peel. It's usually not too strong, but there have been some that had more than I cared for.
