Still doesn’t explain the variance in pricing from Costco locations one or two towns from each other. When I’m traveling locally to mtgs, I can stop by 2 or 3 Costcos if my clients and mtgs are spaced out just so. Right. But my point isn’t so much about state to state differences. The pricing in-region, as well as SoCal versus NorCal, varies noticeably here in CA. Any possible county and city taxes on alcohol can’t possibly account for the $142.89 pricing on Dom P I’ve seen here in the SF Bay Area, and the $...

On the subject of Total Wine increasing prices pre-tariff, a quick data point (based on some wines we purchased there before prices went up vs what they are priced ar now) makes it seem to me they are increasing prices by 50% now so they don't have to increase them by 100% later. Read back further in the thread, and Total Wine has raised prices on existing stock of French wines based on the original 25% tariffs. So I think it can go either way. Wine is not a "pyramid scheme". It is a beverage produced from an agricultural product. The wine industry in this country has problems that go far beyond tariffs. In a nutshell, per-capita consumption has been dropping. Not by much, but still. There is some talk that younger people are simply drink...

That is an expensive six pack of Coors. I can get decant IPAs for $7.99 a six pack.
Not here in the NW, a decent IPA is around $10 for a 6er and about $15 for a 4pk that’s worth drinking.
