Got a case.

A few of my friends love their Chenin Blanc. A good food wine. My favorite seems to be the Amador County from my tasting notes, but The Lodi’s are close. I have a few 2014’s left and have really enjoyed their development over time. The value and consistency of Sandlands is incredible!

Most of them need a few years aging. The 2014 Trout Gulch was a bit too acidic at the start, but it’s just starting to hit its stride. I bought a case of 2002 Vincent Girardin CSD at release- 6 left. I’ve been impressed with it. Seems like there is not a whole lot of CSD around or it’s bought up quickly. And, the prices have gotten whoa. I’ll have to stick with Morey St. Denis. But, the Girardin CSD has been fun!

Point Lobos is a state park near Carmel and has some stunning views of the Pacific Ocean- one of my favorite places in the world. You now need reservations for parking. Right on highway 1.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is very special also.

Low allocation, but got what I wanted. A case with a good mix; only got one mission and refosco (I’ve been on the list from the beginning).My goal was a case and I got it delivered for under $400! Great wine at a reasonable price. Excited for the new varietals.
