Gary's Wine in Wayne NJ?

Just curious - what is the benefit of purchasing from Gary's online? I don't see a great price difference between Gary's and any of the other NJ online wine retailers. When adding shipping costs, doesn't seem to be worth it...thanks!

How often do you return corked wines?

I am in the minority, but every single time (if I know where the bottle was purchased from..if a gift, then that's the exception)... And in every instance, the retailer/winery has gladly offered me either a refund, or replacement bottle (maybe not the same vintage if much time has passed). I have no...

Thoughts on Matanzas Creek Journey Red Wine

I am finding it difficult to find much information on this wine, other than from the winery itself. I was recently given the 2010 Journey Red Wine (which is sold out at the vineyard), which in turn I am giving to a friend who is opening up a Wine Bar. Anything you want to add about this wine that I ...

Why would I ever purchase directly from the winery?

I am not referring to ALL wineries....for example Sherwin is too difficult to find outside of the winery, and I am not sure I trust a $100 wine from some mail order wine shop in the Midwest. Myriad is another.. However, Total Wines has so many of my favorites for 10-20% less than the cost at the win...

Looking for 6'-8' Corkscrew

Buddy of mine is opening a wine bar. He would like a 6'-8' corkscrew on the front lawn of the bar (similar to the one at Bistro Don Giovannis). Without hiring a local artist, any thoughts on where to obtain one?
