Alcohol doesn't "age" once bottled nor opened. I know it doesn’t age per se, hence the quotes, but many bourbon drinkers swear that the flavors change as it is exposed to air. YMMV. Not a bourbon, but sipping the Nikka from the Barrel that just won the Whiskey Advocate Whiskey of the Year. I'm primarily an American whiskey drinker, but this is simply amazing. I get a different flavor in every sip and the bottle has morphed over the past week. What a well done offering.

You'd be better off trying to trade for a 130th, but the Michter's 10 is very nice at around retail pricing. Not too hot or overpowering, but decent complexity and finish.

Bittermilk bitters are top quality and if you're looking for something with several alternatives, their mixers are made of the finest ingredients. While I'm a purist with cocktails, these are as good as almost any craft made cocktail anywhere.

I had a bottle of the '11 Napa the other night and really enjoyed it. We decanted for 3 hours and it was gone quickly. A bit restrained initially, it continues to get better until the last delicious sip.

The 11 year old was a spring release and the 9 a fall release. Most have said the 9 was the better of the two, but both have been praised.
