I went for the Aequorin, Anitykthera, and the Angelicall - I totally get people would have a tough time spending $110 on a rose but this one is for sure worth it. Visited last summer but didn't' try the Obelin, so I passed out of a lack of familiarity.

I opened (but did nothing else to) a 2014 Thomas PN last night around 7:30. Call it a slow-o or audouzing. After an hour long work call at 8, the bottle was recorked around 10 as it became the case there would be no drinking that night. How long do you think I've got with this bottle?

As someone who has read James Conway's histories of Napa, and was somewhat familiar with Beckstoffer from those (but the memory was a little hazy), all I know is if I see Beckstoffer on a label it's almost certainly overpriced.

I admit I don't fully understand the wanting to support a winery more by buying direct versus retail. It's all supporting the winery, no matter how it's purchased. I imagine costs are quite a bit lower for them to sell wholesale anyway, as it requires less manpower and hand selling. It is not cheap...
