once saw a 3 pk of SQN that had separated into an almost clear liquid and a coagulated mess. At the time someone on a wine board mentioned that it could be a bacterial issue that caused the "roping" of the wine. the coagulated did look like rope.

IIRC, the 1975 Phelps Syrah was the second commercial bottling of Syrah in the USA. last winebid sale was $120 I bought a 1976 bottle for under $50 back in 2016 and brought it to HdR where it drank like an old mostly dead red wine.

IIRC, Rudy spent millions buying up trophy wines (raising the prices across the board) sharing them to gain access to the “heavy lumber” crowd THEN started he started counterfeiting said trophy wines and selling them having already establishing himself as a great wine taster etc.... It looks like we oversold the original wine listed on Groupon's site, and the 2018 was erroneously subbed in for orders that were shorted. We are huge fans of the Kirkland Gigondas and your definition of Garrigue is spot on. Cayron 1995 was my second case purchase when I was getting into wine. Purchased bottles as far back at 1985 at auction and they were all delicious examples of the area.

when I make Rösti I soak the potatoes, lift them out of the water and then decant the water off the potato starch and add the starch back to the potatoes and toss with some melted butter

I've seen the "finger" technique but I don't really know the mechanics of it. Could someone explain in detail?
that being said, I usually make brown rice in a PC as it cooks a lot faster. I would like to use the finger technique for white rice cooked on the stovetop.

I've had no problem with a wood peel and around a teaspoon of corn meal. I spread it around and them keep my pizza crust moving (as in a couple of shakes of the peel) while building the pizza. If a section stops moving, I lift it up and add more corn meal. Made a couple of pies last night and cooked...
