2016 Youngberg Hill Pinot Noir "Cuvee", willamette Valley..the is a blend of several vineyards..tasted and purchased at the winery..The single Vineyard PN's, named after their daughters, offered more depth but will need some cellaring

night #2 re the 1997 Monty..nose has perked up a bit,more floral..ditto on the palate, now tastes like a graceful aging cab, still attractive but no longer at peak..Doubt it will improve but doesn't taste or smell corked..

2011 Carlisle Montafi Ranch Zinfandel, Russian River Valley..No rush if ya got em, this bruiser ,while drinking well tonight(with Bison steak), has miles to go and might well outlast Tom Brady , who also shows no signs of slowing down...

2016 Forgeron Cellars Chardonnay, Columbia Valley.. Never heard of these folks prior to our visit to Woodinville in June..They were recommended to us by staff at several other winery tasting rooms that we had visited..Fun place,friendly atmosphere..I love this wine, it is in a very good place right ...

appreciate the notes on the Cuvee Theo..I have never let a white wine age that long..I drank the last of my 92 Cuvee Theos a loong time ago,probably in the mid to late 1990's and they were all quite enjoyable with prominent cinnamon and lychee notes..

just to add to what Joe said, the Dr Frank sparklers can age quite gracefully...Have had some over the years that had a few years cellaring and were delightful..had the first one with some age on it at a tasting in Albany..I would never have guessed that it came from the FL region, what a surprise!!...

2016 Sigalas Santorini (Assyrtiko)..Back label says cellar for a minimum of 2 yrs..Hard to argue with that..Tonight's bottle tasted fuller and richer than what I remember of last year's bottle(which I thought was quite nice)..Suspect i will hold on to the remainder of my stash for a while.

10 consumed for July, 0 purchases.so minus 10 for month but still have a few nights to go..Beer drinking might have reduced the wine consumption by a bottle or 2.

was planning on beer tonight but, we are into grilling and chilling season, and having had beer with hot dogs Tuesday night and beer with bison burgers last night, opted for 2017 Dry Creek Sauvignon Blanc (Sonoma)..delicious, is on my " buy again" list.

bought 13, drank 6 for +7 for the month, my annual rose splurge accounted for some of it plus wines we brought back from Oregon and Washing(recent trip)..Am not counting my Goodfellow and Biggio-Hamina purchases as they won't arrive until the Fall and are not currently in my cellar.

Rich: I apologize in advance if this reply is a duplicate..replied earlier but had some computer issues and it doesn't look as if my earlier post made it through Day 1 and day 2, the wine is drinking quite nicely,smooth, perfumed, The Viognier shows through, still have some left..Puzzling experience...

Glad to see that they have reopened..Never ate at the Willi's in Santa Rosa but wife and I had some fun times at the one in Healdsburg..Took our daughter and son in law there the last time we were in Sonoma.
