Re: How do I buy from people's cellars?

Agree with Anton - post on Commerce Corner (not sure if there is a pre-requisite to be able to post), and list out which producers and vintages you'd like. It can be as broad as "Bordeaux - 1990 to 2000" to as specific as "Leoville Poyferre 1996". Lots of great people that sell good stuff. Good luck.

Is Salon worth it? Yes. Does it blow away Krug? No. Salon and Krug are very different styles and are in my books two great producers. Neither blows the other away. I've had 96 Salon and 96 Krug side by side many times and it's pretty much dead even. If I had to pick only one producer of Champagne, I...

Nigel, I think what Michael is saying is that most of the time, Board darlings typically experience a huge prices increase, therefore, with Lambrays, if it flies under the radar, then at least it is still affordable compared to its counterparts in Burgundy (ie. Brian, good experiment - but as Charlie pointed out, the bag wasn't in the back of a FedEx truck on a 95 degree day for 6-8 hours. If you shipped a box full of wine and some iced water bottles from say, SF to LA, and then opened it to check on the contents, that would probably be more comparable.
