Haven't read this entire thread (too many pages), but got an email from Moore Brothers in NJ/DE/NJ the other day. They purchased 33 containers of wine in December to arrive before tariff increases to minimize impact in coming year. That's quite a purchase!

I purchased some 2005 vatan clos la neore back in 2008 for $35/btl. Just check Wine Searcher and one merchant selling for $420. Recent releases are all selling for close or more than $200

Loewen makes some nice Kabinett. One of the best Kabinett's I've had was the Leiwener Klostergarten Riesling Kabinett, can't remember the vintage (would have been early 2000's), but it was remarkable.

I have always been impressed with the Craig wines I've had, going back to the first wines I've tried from him from the 1995 vintage. I don't know why I don't continue to seek out his wines since they offer good value and I have never been disappointed with any of the wines (Mt. Veeder, Affinitiy).

I have been pretty lucky with purchases from PC, can't remember too many bad bottles. But this past weekend had a 2001 Pegau and it had a depressed cork and was pretty advanced.

I haven't been following this closely lately, but I'm assuming those of us with claims will not see any $. If anything, I would expect maybe $1 per $100 claimed.

Has anyone thought of writing this off as (personal) bad debt and reporting it as a capital loss (Schedule D of tax return)?

Made Rigatoni all'Amatriciana last night using a seasoning (spices) we bought at Campo di Fiori market in Rome recently. Came out great!
