Krug 167e

Served in Pinot glass at Republique. Thin and acidic similar to 166e but this also has a green bitter component in the finish that is unpleasant. As good as 165e and potentially 164e are the 166e and 167e are not.

Most of my 2002 Fevre Chablis across all of the Crus were heavily pre-moxed and I haven’t picked up a bottle since.

The Gala Dinner is a huge tasting event to discover new wines. It may be excessive but that’s one of the goals. Unfortunately the way prices have escalated recently it may be the only way to experience some of the wines now.

First from a case imported by Kobrand was firing on all cylinders, thankfully. This bottle has blossomed into a bigger wine than previous bottles though still smaller scaled than the 2004.

Hong Min, Palos - one of the best old school American style Chinese restaurants in the country. Same couple cooking the same recipe as 20 years ago when they had the China Town location. Still the finest Hot & Sour soup I’ve had as are many of the other menu classics.
