Bourbon - Need advice

What to get a bottle of Bourbon for my friend's upcoming birthday. He drinks Woodford Reserve as a daily drinker. Anything suggestions for something similar for special occasions in the $200-$400 range?

I’m 61. Don’t buy any current red Burgundy. Backfill when I can. Still but white Burgs but don’t plan on again beyond 5-7 years 😢. Buy some domestic but dialing that back too. Still buy champagne, mostly vintage.

Rhys 2013 Rhys Alpine Chardonnay. Intense lemon curd on the nose. Fruit forward at first (new world) but then super minerals (old world) on the finish. Sweet spot.

2009 Saxum Broken Stones.

Still fruit forward. Even with a 3 hour decant there still is a bit of heat on the finish. Probably more of a chance in my tastes than a defect in the wine.

I got outbid on every single lot (some by a lot) and I felt my bids should have been competitive. During one 10 minute stretch I watch today, I saw a single bidder win lots that totaled well over $100,000. Hard to compete when people are dropping that kind of coin.
