Pulled the trigger on 2009 La Tour Blance at $20 per. Not the most heralded LTB, but seems like a great deal on a Sauternes with some age...plus something to go to while letting others continue to rest.

Opened a 1999 Big River this past weekend that was absolutely singing as a pop and pour. Black, candied fruit, some clove, just a hint of tannins and uber smooth going down. So glad I heard about this offer.

The Bontanist is probably one of the most balanced gins I've had. It's sufficiently complex and there's not any single descriptor/element that dominates more than the next. Opened a bottle of 2002 Williams Selyem RR Pinot Noir last night. Certainly a soft wine at this point with a trace of red fruit profile, though tasty for what it is and a nice wine to share with friends.

Scott...Agree with you 100%. Just had an issue with an order...had ordered a case and opened the box to see 11 bottles. Emailed the winery and they dealt with packager and shipper. I would anticipate a winery to care more than a retailer, though a decent retailer should want to help.

On the fence as well, though leaning in. Now that Shafer Hillside is $300+, Schrader pricing looks better combined with more limited production.

Drove back to Nashville from Birmingham today and saw a sign for Popeyes...figured I would stop. No line and ordered the sandwich...out in under two minutes.

For $4, it is a great sandwich...chicken was moist, generous piece. and good flavor...I could go for more spice. Much prefer over ChikFilA.

+1 on a couple references to Outpost.

Would also recommend the regular Napa bottling of Rivers Marie as well as the regular bottling of 12C...both are consistently solid.

Larry...Names like Insignia, Monte Bello and Mondavi Reserve come to mind. Though at a lower price point, they are widely available at retail.

Very disappointed that Shafer has risen to this price point. Obviously they think the market can bear, though they make a ton of it!

Brian...Check out Wannado Nashville and Nashville Scene for events, music, etc. If you are staying downtown, the Country Music Hall of Fame, Ryman and Frist Museum are all good options and within walking distance.

And restaurants galore...make reservations!

We also just returned from GC. Have used K&L three times and overall would rate high on service and results, though the most recent time (within the last month) a couple bottles went for lower than their anticipated range.

Any experiences with Benchmark? I am talking to them currently based on their partnership with CT.
