Did takeout last Saturday and again yesterday from a couple local favorites. Will continue to do so. They say they are staying somewhat busy...fits and starts. Donated to employee fund of another that is completely shut down.

Guys...Thank you for all the recs. Just hoping for temperate weather. And no plans to drive. Will Uber and possibly metro, but planning our days in clusters to allow some walking...will help out with all the food!

Nick...I echo post above to look at Costco...very reasonable pricing and should definitely bridge you until a larger decision or home cellar. Lowes and Home Depot also carry.

Heading to DC with the family to see the sites and a couple college visits. Welcome suggestions for reasonable spots around town for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Not looking for wine related...just good local spots as we will be eating out for several days.

Charlie...Went to order some 2016...did not list Tennessee as a shipping option...please advise. Tennessee can be shipped to but it needs to go through the state liquor store. But it can be placed. Charlie...TN doesn't have state liquor stores. I have many wineries ship direct...it is an open state...

Pulled the trigger on 2009 La Tour Blance at $20 per. Not the most heralded LTB, but seems like a great deal on a Sauternes with some age...plus something to go to while letting others continue to rest.

Opened a 1999 Big River this past weekend that was absolutely singing as a pop and pour. Black, candied fruit, some clove, just a hint of tannins and uber smooth going down. So glad I heard about this offer.

Opened a bottle of 2002 Williams Selyem RR Pinot Noir last night. Certainly a soft wine at this point with a trace of red fruit profile, though tasty for what it is and a nice wine to share with friends.

Scott...Agree with you 100%. Just had an issue with an order...had ordered a case and opened the box to see 11 bottles. Emailed the winery and they dealt with packager and shipper. I would anticipate a winery to care more than a retailer, though a decent retailer should want to help.

Drove back to Nashville from Birmingham today and saw a sign for Popeyes...figured I would stop. No line and ordered the sandwich...out in under two minutes.

For $4, it is a great sandwich...chicken was moist, generous piece. and good flavor...I could go for more spice. Much prefer over ChikFilA.

+1 on a couple references to Outpost.

Larry...Names like Insignia, Monte Bello and Mondavi Reserve come to mind. Though at a lower price point, they are widely available at retail.

Very disappointed that Shafer has risen to this price point. Obviously they think the market can bear, though they make a ton of it!
