Re: WOTYs--2019 Edition--and your Discovery of the Year

Mike - sorry I didn’t see you question earlier. The overall quality of Tasmanian sparklers was very good including nonvintage bruts and roses. Those that we brought back include: Freycinet R3 Radenti, 2011 Jansz Late Disgorged, 2015 Apogee Deluxe Brut, 2013 Clover Hill Vintage Release, 2013 Moorilla...

If the wine is a great price, you can always buy and donate to a charity although the new tax law makes that less attractive for someone that will use the new standard deduction.

I have several, but you will have to pay for shipping from Iowa. Just send shipping labels for how many and what size (I think I have two and three mag sizes).

Grrrrr.....calling about the corkage policy only to be told.....

One also needs to ask or if listed on the menu, the corkage based on the size of the bottle - per 750, per mag, etc. I learned that lesson asking per bottle fee, but not that I was bringing a magnum.

A helpful recommendation to participating wineries - ask them to disclose whether or not they limit the number of packs one can purchase. Last year I purchased multiple packs of an offer only to find out I was limited to one. I would have sought out other offers if I had known.
