I am also interested in this topic. I recently rented a house near Montpellier privately and had to wire the money to the landlord. I didn’t pay but the French landlord had to pay 165Euros .

I lived for 2 years in the 11th.. on the corner of rue de charonne and jules valles. Loved the quartier, all the food choices and the Fromagerie on the corner was incredibly good .

I am huge fan of Da Mario as well. The first we ate there there were posters all over the city about a Film Festival and the Professor who hosted it sat at our table and we talked film for 3 hrs and ate together.

Guilia is also a great place. Their pastas are sublime. Erbaluce is not like any other American Italian restaurant. Draghi's touch is a bit more subtle and he lets the ingredients shine. It's also in an interesting quaint village area of Boston.
