Got me some cab - love Cabot. Just wish I could have gotten some Syrah and Pinot too. I think they make some of the best, less in your face Syrah put there. Always gets second and third looks when I bring for my wine geek friends.

Went to Marcel and they waived corkage after giving a taste to the waiter and somm (not sure he was really a sommelier but he claimed to be).... Regardless they were seemingly gracious. Maybe just depends on the waiter and the fact they are still working out the opening kinks. Dunno.

Perrine's is pretty good - more of an old world focus, but smaller selection. That's a bit closer to downtown.

Also, and bizarrely, the Kroger on Monroe Drive has a huge selection of domestic producers - from Littorai to Continuum.

Solid customer service from JJ Buckley

I have to go back and revise previous kudos I gave to JJB - think I've done so twice on WB. Up until a few months ago I was a huge fan. Then everything hit a wall. My rep started to be sporadically unresponsive. Such it is, they are busy. Then my spring shipping requests were totally ignored (specif...

The 400 is great and the easiest opener I've ever used. We loved it. But it broke within 6 months of relatively frequent use. I got it as a gift and sure wouldn't spend that much for the short life. Google it and you will see its pretty common with this one. So I'm back to an old lever model. Oh wel...
