i have not used the retailmenot portal before but just noticed it mentions that $50 is the limit for cashback on the wine.com offers. is that per purchase? I have this question too, although I'd assume it's more likely per-deal/per-day than per-purchase. I used 4MAAFTC yesterday for $100 off of $30...

A bottle of this is the first wine I ever purchased on release with aging in mind...entirely based on published reviews, of course. I still have it, although it seems like it's time to get into it soon. Seems it's a good thing that my wife and I aren't exceptionally oak-averse.

I'd probably track down an anniversary year wine (2001). It looks like $1000 would get a magnum of Haut Brion, so I might go that way, or maybe I'd take the opportunity to try a top Barolo - a Giacosa or something.

We finally got a chance to use the Libertés on a few different wines in the last week or two, and we've really enjoyed them - they worked well with both a crémant and a Vacqueyras last weekend, so that says something for their versatility.

I hold pretty tight to a 2 grand limit per year. We have no mortgage, no children to school, and a stable 200 grand retirement income. Hmm, I picked up a couple of on-sale bottles of the 2010 last year. We haven't opened any, and while I've been expecting a new world aspect to it (which I'm ok with, to a point), I hope I don't find it like you found in the 2014.

I was at Costco this weekend and noticed that their KitchenAid Professional 6-Quart stand mixers are being sold off for $249.97.
