Re: Which Champagne are you drinking?

A recent mix of lots of different styles: 1) 2004 Comte - super, tasting blanc de blanc with yellow fruit, plenty of acidity but just enough roundness. Perfect balance. 2) Larmandier Bernier (2006 according to the back label), served a bit warm to start, showed a touch of oxidation. A proper chill i...

Thanks Nick. The packaging took a while to get right as it is a hand applied double label in front and finished with a very soft custom wax.

Two on very different planes: 2008 VC Rose- I had this a year or two ago and liked it. We polished several bottles on a group dinner for my Wife's bday. Light cranberry/orange color. Smells of strawberries. Very nice balance, good acid and not too heavily dosaged. Very tasty and ready to go. 2008 Cr...

I have been buying RM for the past several years, and in my opinion the Lore and the Panek are the best in the lineup. Although the latter needs serious sleep time in the cellar (especially the 16). Bummed that there is no Herb Lamb this year, but will try and bury some extra funds in the backyard ...

The '09 Roederer Starck is pretty darn lean and tastes more shrill that zero dose wines I've had from Laherte and Bouchard (the latter two feeling as natural as a still white wine). By contrast, the Starck is definitely a bit enamel stripping, but tolerable. I liked it with sushi, especially since ...
