2014 Laherte Freres Les Grands Crayeres Really really delicious already Indeed, my bottle last week was excellent. 2013 Prevost-these are always excellent. I am not sure how he coaxes such luscious fruit from those PM vines and yet still keeps the tension, acidity and balance. A true crowd pleaser....

06 Hebrart Rive Droite- my last one from a six pack. Gentle bubbles and akin to a white burg. Touches of pear, apple, spice and oak. Went well with the cheeses and nuts to start.

Hoping to not sound like a shill, this was a fascinating process to make a Reserve in 2017. Like many of you, I was concerned it was a"difficult" vintage, which is true compared to 2016 and 2018 around it. 2017 required some lucky breaks to make great wine. 2013 Lore Vineyard Cab-Taste just like the vintage, massive structure, dark and tannins that coat every crevice of the mouth. Blackberry, iron and that red soil flavor from Oakville. I love this style as it is not jammy, but wait a decade. Blind-light gold, smells of tangy pineapple, hints of melon,...

1998 should be consumed I would think. I like these at 12-15 years best, but much depends on the bottling and the varietal. The Nouvelle wines ar all done in (mostly new?) barrel and the Zwischen den Seen are done in stainless tank. Agree with Joe, the more acid the better.

2015 Pinot SC-This was quite dark and very aromatic, with pine needles, macerated cherries and some damp earthiness. More complex on the palate than the 2018 of the same wine recently, but that may well just be bottle age. Very nice and a steal for $30.
