I also just recork and put in the refrigerator. Some white wines, I drink over four days and they stay fine (young wines sometimes improve).
Agree with white wines improving if young. Most of the new world Chardonnays I drink get better on day 2.

For those of you who generally open a bottle but don't consume all of it that evening, leaving half a bottle or so to drink the next night, what have you found works well for preserving it so that it's still good to go that second day? Years ago I would use Vacuvin stoppers, but over time I felt th...

But is Dr L dry? Last time I tried it (10 years ago) it wasn't. Not lusciously sweet, but definitely a fair amount of RS, and certainly not Trimbach-dry

The Moet for $85 seems decent? I also enjoyed that Tenuta di Ceppaiano from a 750ml.
Have been underwhelmed with Moet Brut and Rose Champagnes over the last five years. I would rather spend a few more dollars and drink Vilmart or Bollinger.

I don't chill whites. Take them right out of the wine cabinet (already at 55 degrees) and serve them. I find that for quality whites, the cold temperature mutes the flavor. Agree. Good Chardonnays sometimes are even better at room temp. Always find humor in the cheap beer adds that say serve ice co...

The 2013 was dumped on the market here in DFW about a year ago. I got a case of mags for $13 a bottle, yes that is right. I told the vendor what they should cost, but they insisted that was the price. Well at that price if they insist one has no other actions than to buy them all! Mags none the less.
