Still have one 1982 and 1986 vintage selection bottlings in the cellar. Will have to pop them and report on the results. Prior old bottles have held up perfectly.

2011 Drinkward Peschon Entre Deus Meres a brilliant bottle drinking perfectly now. Based on this just ordered the 2017 to add to my supply.

2011 Dehlinger Goldridge pinot - still excellent although it was not a perfect match for the chicken fajitas that were served for dinner.

I use a product called "The wine vault" fro Viking leisure products Marrieta Ga. It is a bottle filled with liquid and sealed with a thermometer with a dial display on the end. Woks great, is accurate and easy to read. Not sure if this is still available since this one is many years old.

Keep the cabs and just add more pinot. Over time your tastes will continue to change and you will appreciate the older cabs. I started drinking bordeaux in the late 60's, moved to rhone style wines for a while. Then lots of pinot based wine, now drinking a lot more cabs. Buy wines that will last.

2017 or 2018 Daou Paso Robles cabernet should be available at total Wine. About $20 and very drinkable, no tannin good fruit/ Better IMHO than the Columbia C H3.

Dehlinger and Scherrer both make outstanding pinot noir and cabernet bottlings and have for a long time.

Just finished a bottle of the 2010 Dehlinger Goldridge pinot last night and it is still excellent and fresh. Have several more bottles of this and older Dehlingers and they age fantastically.

The Scherrer Helfer chardonnays 2013 and 2014 have been outstanding. Also the Halberg pinots.

Our annual Christmas party usually had about 45 bottles opened and not all were finished. The next morning I would blend the leftovers, usually a drinkable but not especially notable result.

Now drinking my 2010 Dehlinger Goldridges and they continue to be excellent. I was not a fan of the 2007's with age. 2011 Peay Scallop Shelf is now excellent as well as the Sonoma Coast bottling.

I have had several cards scammed, most of the problems were gas purchases at stations on the road. One was at a restaurant where they take the card away to process. Solution for the gas station issue was to get a new card with the tap to pay feature, this seems to avoid the scimmers at the pump.

This happened frequently at the Christies auctions in Chicago in the late 80's. Many of the newer wines could be had at Sam's for much lower prices.

Both Fedex and UPS will deliver to a local holding point. For me it is a Walgreens or the local UPS store, both close.

Opened a 2006 Andrew Will Champoux Vineyard last night and it was excellent as a pnp. Very balanced, will see how the remaining wine holds up over the next few days.

Try this instead for about $13 Domaine des Cassagnoles Côtes de Gascogne Reserve Selection Manseng. Excellent quality and readily available.

get an Arlo Q webcam, $132 at best buy and easy to install if you have an electrical outlet in your cellar. If no outlet use the battery operated version. It will solve the issue and provide proof. Also not very noticeable.

I still buy 2 cases each year, pinot and syrah. Good pricing on excellent syrahs. Still have vintages back to 2009 and they are drinking well.
