Didn’t know what to open tonight, but was reminded of David’s charity tasting… 2018 Walter Scott Chardonnay Freedom Hill Vineyard - oh yum as I get a whiff of the aromatics that are just slightly flinty, and pear and florals. Citrus on the palate with almond, and spice, and a deliciously salty finis...

2016 Moussé Fils Rosé de Saignée Special Club - my first time with this Champagne and it holds my interest. It is very dry with cherry and watermelon notes. Surprisingly, I get the taste of Scotch before ending with orange rind. Bubbles dissipate quickly, but I like it and keep going back for more.

2015 Kelley Fox Momtazi Vineyard Pinot Noir - juicy, brambly, with cranberry, licorice, and spice. Maintains a lightness but still has depth. Easy to drink and enjoy in spite of the serious tannins.

2012 Rhys Horseshoe Pinot Noir - It started out a little heavy and tiresome, but an hour of air, and the wine is singing. Red fruit, licorice, herbal, menthol on the mid palate, and acidity jumps out with the air. No rush on this, but it is quite nice with our burgers now.
