I bought a case on release. I drank my last bottle in the past year and it was outstanding. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to pick up a few bottles at a good price if the bottles were well cared for over the years.

I've had NV Pur Meunier from a couple of different releases and have been incredibly impressed. For $40, I can't think of another champagne in my cellar that I'd rather drink. I will be a buyer in the future and plan to also pick up some of his vintage pinot meuniers.

How about heating up the corked wine, let it cool, and taste it again? If the corked flavor is gone and it tastes pretty good, use it in the marinade.
