Re: Seattle Offline - January 11 or 18, 2020 ??

I am available both weekends but think it would be great to have the off-line on the 18th or 19th so Peter can attend. I like the Loire theme. I'll bring a 1990 Baumard Quarts de Chaume and another white or red bottle depending on what we need.

Re: Seattle Offline Tasting - Saturday, October 19th

I plan to be at Peter's house by 4:00 PM. I have concert tickets for an 8:00 PM show downtown so will need to leave on the early side. I plan to bring two red wines, either a Cote Rotie or Hermitage (probably a 1999) and a syrah ringer. I will bring a hearty pork dish. Thanks to Peter for hosting an...

Re: Let's Talk About Crémant, Cava and Other Sparklers

My favorite cavas are from Pere Mata. I visited him in Spain and he was charming and very welcoming. Great values at less than $20/bottle and they age well. Robert Panzer (Down to Earth Wines) sells Pere Mata.

Try some Cadence wines. My favorite WA wines and ones that age very well. They are red blends of CS, CF, and Merlot.

Brown bagging is fine with me. A couple of questions:

2) Do you have a Durand? If not, I'll bring mine.

Looking forward to it!

Several of the 1993s I've had over the years have been among the best OR pinots I've had- DDO Laurene, St. Innocent Seven Springs, Evesham Wood Cuvee J. I don't think that the quality of 1993 was appreciated until the wines had considerable bottle age. On release there was a lot of hype on the 1994s...
