Stayed at the converted monastery hotel just outside town a few years ago. Should have been fabulous given the surroundings but a classically “undermanaged” hotel. We were only there for a few days as a family with young children and didn’t look for the top restaurants. However, we did have a very g...

I only buy pycm. I’m not intentionally ageing them for 10+ years but I’m not worried if I don’t happen to get round to them until then. Eg I’ve enjoyed the 07 corton charlemagne very recently and it was superb with none of my 6 bottles showing any pox and all capable of going a lot longer.

Dolomites. Cortina, val gardena etc etc. There’s a reason it’s a world heritage site. Breathtaking scenery, incredible food (and wine!), great hiking/biking and lots more besides. Could easily combine with lake garda or como.

First time I’ve tried it and it was from a mag so no idea if it’s representative of bottles but it clearly stole the show vs the krug and dp.

1995 Krug Champagne Vintage Brut - France, Champagne (27/04/2019) From magnum. Quite tight initially. Needed an hour to start to open up.
