Interesting how many have pycm at the top of the list. He now accounts for nearly 50% of my white burgs And I’m perfectly happy with that. Nobody else above 5%.

Bearing in mind the distances involved, I’d also suggest Porto. Really stunning city, wonderfully friendly people, incredible food destination and obviously masses of wine stuff to explore. Weather should be lovely then. Stay at the Yeatman.

Re: Honeymoon plans: help me make a decision

I’d 2nd the south of france suggestion. Typically, weather will be lovely and everywhere will be very relaxed and uncrowded. Eg. Ste Tropez is actually really nice out of peak season. You can just turn up for lunch at club 55!

In Cordoba, I can recommend the Palacio Bailio highly.

Re: Recent 2013 Burg tasting notes

2013 reminds me a bit on something between 1995 and 1996 ... needing time. No resemblance to really great vintages like 1990 or 1999. Interestingly, I was talking to Christophe Roumier about 2013, and he observed that in terms of harvest date and must analyses, 2013 was very similar to 1978. I do t...

I paid £18 IB for the 11s vs £30 for the 18s. That’s a 7.6% compound increase. PYCM remains the only allocation I have kept as he has been incredibly fair in his pricing despite having more ability to jack up his prices than almost any other producer.
