It has to be Pride because he states the winery straddles the Napa Sonoma county lines. But Cam is probably just exaggerating the list price a little. I was in a tasting group for 15 years which met every month. Now, granted, this group had cheeses and bread. However we hated all Sauvignon Blanc tastings (and I like the variety) until members stopped showing up and we abandoned them.

When it comes to Ridge there are no hard and fast rules’ Mostly, people think that the Geezer is more serious but IMO, the 2018 Lytton is finer than it’s counterpart and will be more long lived.

I often find sweetness in older Pinot and it doesn't delight me. I must say though, that recent vintages of Dehlinger Cabernet have blown my mind. IMO, your brush is too broad.

I knew I had 4 bottles of the 2000 in my cellar, and finally when I moved I found them. I wasn’t expecting much cause I knew the vintage would not make old bones, unlike 2001 and 1998. The wine was not flawed in any way, just felt it was a little flabby. Sold the rest.

I read the newsletter and wonder the same thing, however they continue to sell normally priced wines, and you do always know that all wines are refrigerated across the pond.

Well, Marcella Hazan's recipe calls for pancetta, but then, it's probably from so long ago, guanciale probably wasn't available much back then. No double boiler either, as she doesn't put the pasta in the pan.

We have a bistro in Cole Valley, in San Francisco. They have had corkage free Tuesdays every week for years. Right now restaurants can only be open outside. I recently reached out to them and they said they are maintaining it now, and will do so when they open fully.
