Re: Magnum party Oakland deli/BBQ Sat. 4/6 noonish final details

I came across two 2000 Bordeaux magnums: Brane Cantenac and Grande Mayne. Cellar Tracker reviews were less than stellar. I'll bring a 1986 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet. I don't expect feedback from this thread, so I'm thinking the wine will be ready to go without aeration (Galloni seemed to think i...

Gregg, not totally necessary but a pick up a BART would be cool. I’m leaning towards 2000 Bordeaux, though I also have 86’ 87, 90 and 91 Dunn Howell.

Haven't tried it, don't know it, hope it gets high scores, in for a case. Same with Bordeaux futures. Can't blame them for raising prices. I'd keep raising them until it s...

I voted NO, I do not think I have too much fine wine and not enough everyday wine. In someone else's view this might be the opposite as most of my wine is what I would not consider everyday wines (>$60). However, this plays perfectly into my own drinking ideals as I try and avoid drinking too much ...

Turley - the world's greatest Petite Sirah producer?

For me, "greatest" Petite Sirah is an oxymoron. True, they can age a very long time, but I don't believe they gain complexity along the way.The Duriff variety is, however, a great field blend for Zinfandel.
