Summer 2020 It is really hard to come up with a good name. That premise partially defines where Caterwaul came from. It’s a word I’ve loved for a long time....

Smoke has been hanging out at elevation. Air quality in Napa has been better than Sacramento & San Francisco. Duration & wind direction will ultimately dictate how this goes but incredibly premature at this point to be drawing any conclusions.

I hope your experience with 82 Salon is better than mine. Small sample size (2 btls, same lot) but both were heavily oxidized and to my palate (and those at the table) undrinkable.

My experience with the NYs is that they can cook fast and dry out; I’ve done it a couple of times and, at $50-$60 a steak, wanted to kick myself in the ass. Amen to that. Oops -- that Calistoga is a typo. It is $95/btl.

There is more Herb Lamb this year v. 2016, I suspect it will last a little longer. The one that will see the most pressure is the Lore.

I'm pretty sure this is just a small first wave of folks. Roy has had a lot on his plate of late and having been fortunate to try the 18 out of barrel a few times, he's smart to release slowly as I'm sure the demand is greater than the supply.
