When they come up on Winesearcher for something I am looking for, it seems like they are always listing 12 or 6 bottle cases. Do they sell by the individual bottle, or mainly by the case? I’ve purchased single bottles from them. But they don’t list that way often. Do you know whether, if they list ...

Do they sell for their storage clients also? That would seem to be how they offer an odd lot now and again. Former employee here and I can vouch for the reputation of Cellarage. Another shout out to Keller. Recently had the El Coro Pinot and absolutely loved it! More on the savory/mushroom side of the spectrum with red fruit. Reminded me of a spicy Vosne-Romanee from a riper vintage.

Can anyone offer some opinions about these wines? Richard, Don’s Pinots are beautiful. Definitely more on the restrained side with a cooler climate personality. For the most part, you’ll find more earthy, savory notes intermingled with bright, red fruit. Not over the top at all. Hope that helps.

Thanks all. South of France sounds like an option but we both also wanted to focus on a more renowned wine region. Since we would get our fill of beach and sun in south of Spain, we’d be ok with a more “verdant” scenery in France. But definitely will keep the south in contention.

I think Leo hit the nail somewhat on the head (even if he got the grain wrong.....at least when it comes to Scotch). To his points, I’ll add that most whisky (and even bourbon) houses are of an age where they’ve recouped sunk-in costs so they can afford to price their products at lower numbers.
