Although, it should have been free shipping they charged me for shipping.
Apparently, they stopped doing that and can't seem to honor it but gave me a discount on the shipping cost.
I cannot tell from your post... did they honor the price or just give you a discount on shipping?

OK, I agree with Alan that you don't need to wait for a special occasion to have good wine. What ONE BOTTLE from your cellar will be your special occasion wine in five years?

So, with the arrival of my recent shipments, I gave this some thought last night. I have a fairly deep cellar and will be turning 65 in a little over five years. I previously thought my '12 Harlan, or '12 Schrader Old Sparky would be the wines, but then I got a magnum of '18 Myriad Dr. Crane Elysium...

I think it so sad to read that many only buy wines off lists. There is some great wine out there. I don't think those that buy from lists don't also buy what they can get commercially. BUT, those wineries making less than 20,000 - 30,000 cases a year (many actually make less than 5,000 cases-some j...

Most of the wine on lists above are unattainable in the short term, except for secondary market. Yes, you should buy. Broken Stones is a great blend, year after year. Hexe is a bit more expensive as it is an extended aging wine. I would buy Broken Stones this release, and then James Berry the next one. The alcohol level never seems as high as it is on these wines, IMHO.

Lots of speculation here, but no one even knows if Rhys submitted its wines to be tasted? Does it routinely do that? A recent Cabernet edition had no mention of Mike Smith’s wines, for example. Small producers are less likely to send several bottles of each offering for a review. Just saying!
