We used Uber frequently on our last trip. Good coverage in Napa these days.

I second Glen's Acme recommendation. Had an utterly fantastic tasting there last month. A lot of really cool wines they're pouring. If you're interested, shoot me a PM, and I can get you my contact's info.

I concur with Jeff -- just have fun and enjoy it. Wine country is a special place. And my biggest piece of advice for people at the Laundry is not to feel uptight or anxious about it. It's incredibly fun. Just enjoy the ride and let the enthusiasm wash over you.

It's important to defend the cellar! Depending on what style most people like, in similar situations, I'd grab something like Ridge Lytton Springs or Geyserville. Widely pleasing and show well for the casual and more serious drinker.

Monte Bello is a great choice. Apart from a few riper years in the 2010s, I think the Forman Cabernets are about as good as it gets for the classically styled wines. They are great expressions of California Cabernet. I also dig Spottswoode from the 1990s a lot. Chateau Montelena always rocks, as well.

Nice, Alan. I think Silver Oak had some rough years in the early 2000s. We stopped in during a 2015 trip, I think it was, and the wines were excellent. Had bottles of 1998 and 2000 Alexander Valley in the past couple years that showed really nicely, actually.
