Le Grappin 2012s - Who's buying? And TNR, please

If the '12 Savigny blows away the '11 that would be something. Just tried the '11 today, a lithe beauty, great balance and purity as mentioned above. Full disclosure I'll be carrying this next week. Certainly put a smile on my face this afternoon.

My wife and I dined at La Silhouette during the holidays enjoyed it as you all did. Booked through the savored web site and saved 30% off the bill including liquor.

As a previous post said Roberto's is my favorite but be prepared to wait, pretty interesting wine list also but no 'bring your own' allowed and Dominick's for a communal fun good food place no menus or written bill! More rustic than Roberto's.

Eagerly awaiting notes on the Altare Arborina Greg, had one last February that was quite nice although the aromatics were all over the place ranging from sublime mushroom//truffles to just okay probably due to not decanting at the restaurant lovely wine in spite of the hide and seek aromas.

Nice note David, I drank my only bottle this past summer and loved it as well, great length and intensity, I've picked up a few '05s '07s and an '08 since hoping for similar enjoyment in the future.

Fitz, had the '04 this summer, super Chablis to my palate, very age worthy also I think given the acidity level if premox doesn't intrude. A wine to drink slowly and savor.

Thanks for the notes Bob, your experience with the Barbera mirrors one I had with an '03 Vietti Scarrone. At first seemed too acidic like it was opened too soon but with a rich pasta primavera the acidity receeded and the fruit popped out. The magnitude of the change and dramatic improvement in the ...

$65 a bottle???

yes! And as someone else mentioned a limit of one bottle per two people. But the five course Sunday brunch I had earlier this year was outstanding, can't wait to go back.
