The link Mark posted to the Wine Business article was pretty interesting. Adelsheim did an experiment. 13% whole cluster. The whole clusters were added to the bottom of one fermenter, to the top of another. They found differences in the wines with a preference for the whole clusters at the bottom. L...

Tasted this at St. Innocent Memorial Day 2010 or 2011 if I recall correctly. Not quite as nice as Zeniths bottled under the St. I label, but a steal at that price.

You do get 8 1.5 oz pours. That's essentially half a bottle and in line with "wine bar" prices.

The unusual thing is that half the wines poured aren't Antica Terra. I don't think I've ever been to a winery tasting room pouring somebody else's wines.

Thanks for the overview. I'll definitely give Anderson Family a visit as I've enjoyed the J.K Carriere bottling using their grapes. For something really, really different, there was Whole Cluster carbonically fermented liquid fruit salad in a glass from Willamette Valley Vineyards. Didn't care for it, but amusing for academic enlightenment.

Thanks guys. It wasn't a German wine so I couldn't begin to estimate the ripeness levels of the fruit.

And I was pretty sure it was dry by the alcohol level. My peeve was the claim of a 100% correlation.

Had a disagreement today with a floor person selling wine. I was curious about the sweetness of a particular riesling. He looked at the alcohol level and pronounced it dry. My argument was that it's a good indication, but not for sure without knowing how ripe the grapes were. Low sugar in the grapes...

Anden Vineyard takes time. The '02 isn't ready to drink yet. Great vineyard, sorry to have lost the fruit from there.
