2015 Mayacamus Chardonnay. I thought it was really nice with an interesting smoky and saline nose and citrus and nutty tastes. Very nicely balanced and medium body with a decent finish. (I've previously tried a 2016 and it was too big for my tastes, so this was a pleasant surprise.)

I've never returned a corked bottle before but I mentioned to a new to me local place today that a wine I recently purchased as part of a mixed sample case was corked and the owner offered to credit me the cost. I thought that was great, and they will get more of my business going forward.

I don't see how these very high priced beers can gain anything but a tiny following because there will always be great breweries producing equal or better quality willing to undercut the prices. There is no limiting factor like there is with wine. Even homebrewers can pretty much brew top line beers...
