Try Kolea. You can walk to A-Bay and Kolea's own infinity pool and hot tub, as well as to a few restaurants and a market. Viking grill on every lanai.

Burgundy & Beaujolais, not impressed

I flew into San Francisco once. Looked around and decided to have lunch at a local Olive Garden. It sucked. Then I went to McDonalds for dinner. It sucked. Why do all restaurants in San Francisco just suck so bad? Why do people say that it's a good food city? My experience says that it sucks. The S...

King Crab Season!!, mail order?

Ho Ho on South Weller has had live king crab in the past, but it's a restaurant. And the crabs are wedged in the tanks (much like Asian markets in BC). Now whether it's worth the tariff is another matter entirely. I'm pretty high on Dungeness as well, but if you must, try: http://www.akgourmet.com/2...

I seriously considered it but didn't pull the trigger as my wife prefers espresso... and less than 4 coffee brewing methods on our counter. I did as well, especially at last year's price for $100 less. I thought I might replace the Technivorm, but then realized that doesn't see much use since my wi...

We just had the 2010 Riserva a few nights ago and it's pretty special for the price. I also appreciate that it's generally available at local grocers when we need a quick Chianti fix. I buy a smattering of Cayuse and No Girls from a friend who never wants his full allocation, but I've yet to try the HP.
