Perfect list - I am not a huge new world Syrah fan, and all 4 of these producers consistently make age worthy syrahs that regularly wow me.

Def this.
And with just a little age.

Popped and poured. Deep garnet color, just a little bricking on the rim. Lovely nose of dark cherry, tar and black pepper. Tannins pretty much resolved, nice sweet cherry fruit with balancing acidity, a real pleasant palate. Not sure how much more complexity it will pick up, but drinking great right...

Lovely nose of iron, rose petals and cranberry fruit. Not quite the verve that I remember from my last bottle a couple of years ago. Good acidity and nice crisp cranberry and raspberry notes on the palate, but just a touch tired on the finish. May be time to drink up?

Nice nose of flint, lemon peel, and just a hint of butterscotch. Nice oily texture and balancing acidity on the palate. Still young and I think will stay strong for several years, but not sure it will pick up more complexity.

Obviously liked it more than Corey!

Tea, underbrush and smoky black fruit on the nose. Nice spicy, smoky black fruit and acidity on the palate, but a fading vegetal note makes me think this is really on its last legs. Drink up if you have them.

Lovely nose of tea, flowers, dried herbs and savory saltiness. Palate is all about crunchy acidity and cranberry fruit. Better with food, needs a little fat to mellow out the acidity. Tough year for the fruit to get fully ripe.

Still very dark color, minimal bricking on the rim. Cedar, tobacco, limestone and blackberry on the nose. Nice balanced fruit, probably faded a bit, tannins completely resolved. Not a blockbuster, but a lovely old fashioned California claret. I would drink up, not going to improve.

Lovely nose of cranberry, underbrush and just a hint or orange peel. Bright acidity, cranberry fruit on a medium intense palate. My favorite of the 2011’s I have tried from Rhys - teeters on the edge of underripe, but still delivers good complexity and pleasure.

NV Keller Estate Casa - exactly what I would hope for in an everyday house red. Dusty earth, cranberry and fig on the nose. Light bodied, low tannins, but with a nice peppery, dusty strong finish. Enough structure to hold up well with food of all sorts, but light enough on its feet to be a nice sipp...
