Beautiful nose of underbrush, roses, and bright cherry fruit. Richer and more opulent than most Arcadians, with lovely sweet red fruit with good balancing acidity. Still relatively primary, so may pick up some more secondary notes with more bottle time.

Dark purple rich color, with just a hint of bricking at the rim. Smoky campfire, kalamata olives and a hint of oregano and thyme on the nose. Mature on the palate, with nice acidity and texture with similar olive and smoky notes. Not a blockbuster, but a beautiful smooth well made Syrah.

2012 Matello Riesling - big hit of petrol and prickly grapefruit on the nose. Lovely balance of acidity and just a hint of sweetness on the palate. Nice oily texture and body - still feels young and like it might have another gear and pick up some complexity. A ridiculously good berserker day bargain.
