Re: TSA lifted wine from checked luggage

If they open a bag and a bottle were to fall out and break would they have to leave a note or just go on? I could easily see someone dropping a bottle by mistake or if it were just wrapped up in a pair of jeans.

Dandong, China /North Korea

Spent the last 2 weeks in China and was finally able to go to Dandong, the city on the border with North Korea. My wife and her friend didn’t understand the fascination to see North Korea from a distance but she ended up understanding once we finished. It was very easy to tell the difference between...

My observations while in China

I have blonde hair, blue eyes and more than my fair share of body hair, not quite Robin Williams, and I get stopped in the smaller towns and asked many questions. Most people will go out of their way to just say 'Hello' and 'Are you American?' Durian fruit, smells like ass, tastes like feet. Silk Wo...

The rainfall this season has been incredible, many roads and bridges have been washed out. The rainy season typically ends around the end of November to mid December. I opened a 1992 Howell Mountain last Sunday, it was fantastic!!

Decanted only 2 hours but it still had plenty of life in it. I didn't take any notes, it was too nice outside and we just enjoyed it with Lamb Chops.

Do you carry a passport on you when traveling abroad?

I put my passport and drivers license in a plastic sleeve, and hang it around my neck with a lanyard, keeping it under my shirt when on trains, buses or subways.

This allows me to keep some cash and a credit card in my front pocket and my wallet in hotel safe.
