Re: Fu in da Hood: Gangsta Rhone Night in O-Town w/FL Man Berserkers [Verset, Juge, Levet, Gonon VV, Jaboulet, et al]

I think all those late release Arnouxs from a few years ago were reconditioned. I didn’t like the RSV and the one b of 72 Suchots I had was good not great. Super night. I agree that the late releases seem far too young for the vintages on the btl. A friend of mine disagrees since "they could never ...

Re: Paulee 2019

The trend is no doubt due to the rising value of these bottles. Just a couple years ago it seems like DRC and Roumier were about half the price they are now. Ditto for shares of Amazon. They've kept the grand tasting and verticals pricing increases fairly modest, but because of that, quality had to...

Where did you hear that SF won’t be hosting next year? What a bummer for us west coast folks if that is indeed true... pretty sure 2020 is the 25th anniversary so they were going to do it in NYC. I've gone to every La Paulee for about the past 15yrs. I think this year's Verticals has taken a significant step back. Flickinger and chevalier would be my top two. Both will give you great service and prices. Hdh retail pricing is very inconsistent, but they are very professional.

Hi SH@N, I actually don't reckon red Burg is great with steak, you need Bordeaux or Barolo. But if you have to go with red Burg look for a chewy Pommard or muscular Gevrey. Random valuation question-87 raveneau vaillons

With today's rather bonkers market (but I'd say is still going higher for raveneau) what do you think the 87 vaillons is worth? In the good problem category I found a 6pk in my cellar and I'm playing with the idea of selling 3.

which one and why?
06 DRC Richebourg
07 DRC Richebourg

Obviously, 05 is the "best" vintage (whether that proves out we have yet to see). I think 06 is probably the most approachable at the moment.

Any thoughts?
