Had a Loring 2016 Gary's vnyd PN (375) a few days ago. First Loring we have had in a couple of years. It tasted terrific with lots of fruit and a nice balance of acid and tannin.

Understand what you are saying and probably agree with most of it. When I was employed there they had few WD wines and there was not a lot of pressure to sell them. They did try to keep employees up on the tasting of the WD wines by holding wine dinners (free) and in store tastings with upper manage...

Thanks for heads-up re the Black Ankle. Visited a few times and enjoyed most of what I had purchased. Being so close it sort of fell through the tracks. Old Westminster became our MD winery of choice but plan now to return to Black Ankle.

Nice wines at Linden but on Saturday and Sunday you won't have access to the deck or terrace unless you are a member of the wine club. The inside tasting room is your limit.

For inexpensive every day drinkers Navarro has several whites and Pinot Noir available at different times during the year. We also have some Copain in 375's. Also buy a Sinskey white and Loring PN in 375's. They all make for a good glass of wine with dinner.

Heard a radio news report this AM claiming that grapes have been grown atop a building in Brooklyn. A wine has been made from said grapes that sells for $1,000 a bottle. Made it a point to stop at the winery and enjoyed both the tasting room and the gardens on each of our visits out west. Their Zin was the first "real" wine I tried many years ago. Wasn't sure what I was ordering and half expected it to be white zin. That wine was the start of a great hobby. RIP Don!

John-FYI there are three dunkin/baskins combo stores within 3 to 4 miles from me. About a mileaway is a one of a chain called "ZU" which offers alcoholic drinks starting at 4:00pm. Not sure how it is working for them.

Wineries with the proper permit can ship to MD. It is against current law in MD for retailers such as K&L to ship here.
