Re: Millennials and Wine

Did Boomers buy wine at the same ages as Millennials are now? The oldest Millennial is 38 using the 1982-1996 generation boundaries, which I think is the normal way to do it. Were the older folks in this forum collecting wine at 32? I often wonder if it's not a problem, but many Millennials aren't m...

Re: Earn Points Towards Wine Accessories (and more) on BerserkerDay

I went to link a credit card and it requested my Bank and log in for the bank. That is a little much for me. Hi Dave- The way our program works is through downloading your transactions and categorizing them for wine-related or not. Then we award the points for wine-related. We use Plaid, which is n...

I tried to sign up but the verification code never came to my cell. I hit resend a few times any ideas? Amazon delivers our SMS codes and are usually very reliable. We're not seeing increased error rates or anything. If it is still a problem please PM me or email us at hello <at> grandreservereward...

Re: Wine Enthusiast Furniture / Refrigerators

That Wine Enthusiast one looks nice (can't speak to reliability).

I've had my eye on this one: https://www.vinotemp.com/wine-storage-2 ... th-3-doors but when you have to call for a price, you know it's too expensive!

Now compare mass produced/luxury wines vs. low-intervention/natural - I bet you the last group increased considerably.

Re: Who isn't drinking their share?

There is no doubt the data show that there is a current down trend, but I do think that there isn't a whole dislike of wine, but as noted, folks are drinking more different things. I actually think that the trend towards natural/biodynamic/smaller producers will long term help. it reminds me of the ...

I saw an update a month or two ago that David @ Copper Peak moved to Wineshipping.com. He is a great guy though; worth chatting to directly if he can help guide you a bit on best options.

Re: Why wineries fail at eCommerce.

You're asking what I sell, because I'm not selling anything in these posts. I do not sell websites. That's probably why it doesn't look like I'm doing a very good job at selling, because I am not. What are you selling?

Re: Wine Refrigerators

I have two fridges. I started with a CWR461DZ EdgeStar 46 Bottle Built-In Dual Zone Wine Cooler. It's pretty nice. However the shelves don't come out smoothly (no rollers) and the slats on the wood are wide, so that if you have anything other than a standard Bordeaux bottle, you have to remove a she...

Re: Why wineries fail at eCommerce.

You got me, Greg! I don't like Wordpress. Yes, lots of wineries and websites use it, but that doesn't mean it's the best answer. Lucky us, though, we can all use the software we prefer. I didn't mean to start the WP flame wars. What matters is: Your wine Your story Your site has good technical SEO Y...

Re: Why wineries fail at eCommerce.

Great conversation here, despite the original post being as Michael noted full of technical errors. Now I am getting a 404! I don't agree that Wordpress is the answer to everything; although it depends on your size and complexity. It can be a challenge from a speed and security standpoint, but if yo...
