Last couple of 2000 grand crus tried were a Jean Raphet Clos Vougeot sampled in November 2018 (rated 91) and a Domaine Dujac Charmes tasted November 2017 (also rated 91) which was tasted young and took 2 hours to open.

Another cool thing is that if you can find 2000 red burgs in the marketplace, the tariff is usually fairly reasonable.

What an excellent thread. Just purchased some 1993 and 1989. Have had the 1993 twice and been impressed both times.

Agree with the "vibrant" descriptor. Definitely punches above its weigh and is quite reasonably priced for the quality level. Alas this was my last bottle but have some 1996 and 2000 waiting in the wings.
